Paul and Kathy Settles bring over twenty years of experience working with professional, collegiate, and junior tennis players. Having spent the first fifteen years of their careers with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP World Tour), Paul and Kathy began coaching at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in 2004, where they have helped to bring the CMS men's and women's programs to national prominence, including an NCAA DIII National Men's Title in 2015 and an NCAA DIII National Women's Title in 2018, 2022, and 2023.

 

Kathy is a PTR certified professional, while Paul is a USPTA P1 certified teaching professional and a graduate of the USTA High Performance Coaching program.  Kathy also coaches the Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis Teams at Claremont High School and was named the 2019  Sun/Bulletin Girls Tennis Coach of the Year after the CHS Girls Team reached the final of Division II CIF Team Championships.  In 2021, her Boys Team won the Division I CIF Team Championship Title. 

 

Kathy and Paul have collectively won 60 USTA National Championships - including eighteen together - and have earned USTA year end #1 rankings in three different divisions. In August of 2023, they both represented Team USA at the ITF Masters World Team Championships in Lisbon, Portugal where both teams won a bronze medal.  Most recently they've captured the following national titles:
