Elite College Recruiting Camp

Directed by Paul Settles, Head Men's Coach of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, this two-day camp, open to any and all entrants, limited only by age and number of campers, is designed for highly ranked junior boys (grades 9-12) preparing for elite collegiate tennis. Settles and his staff of some of the most respected college coaches, will offer collegiate style on-court training sessions, match play in a team setting, fitness, singles and doubles tactical work, team building and leadership training. Additionally, campers will learn first hand how to navigate the recruiting process at all levels of college tennis.

Day 1

8:00-8:30 AM: Check-in at CMS’ Biszantz Family Tennis Center

8:30 AM: On Court Session - Baseline Transition and Net play

10:00AM Preparing for College Doubles

10:45 AM On Court Session - College Doubles Formations and Movement

12:15 PM Lunch at BFTC / Dorm Move-in

1:00 PM   Leadership and Teamwork

1:45 PM: Singles Match Play Scenarios

2:45 PM: Recruiting Questions and Answers

3:45 PM Doubles Match Play Scenarios

4:45 PM: Strength and Conditioning for College Tennis - Andrew Jones, CMS Strength and Conditioning Coach

5:30 PM Free time in Dorms

6:30 PM Dinner: Made-to-Order Tacos

7:30 PM College Admissions – Finding the Right Academic and Tennis Fit

9:00 PM: Back to the Dorms, Prepare for Bed

11:00 PM: Lights Out

8:30 AM: Breakfast at BFTC

9:00 – 12:00 PM: Dual Match Play for UTR Credit

12 Noon Check-Out
